Atharva’s mom gave him a small basket with a water bottle and some cookies while leaving. He hopped on my bike, this was the first time I drove so far with him on the bike.
It was an hour long engagement and then he moved to play with his toys and picked up an Aeroplane miniature ignoring his papa completely. I was still wondering as to how to catch his attention. Boom!! I had an amazing idea.. well not amazing but amazing enough to get Kavish excited.
I wanted my daughter to have my full attention and hence hired a cab since driving would have meant her being strapped to her child seat in the backseat and be alone. Things started smooth and she was excited during the car ride. She was recognising cars, cabs, buses, bikes, et al. However, the moment we reached the venue she felt insecure. The place was full and she knew no one. It was then that she uttered the dreaded words, “Mamma paas jana hai”.

On a bright sunny morning, while I’m still in bed, Papa is calling me hysterically. ‘Cheeku (yeah! that’s my nickname) get up I have a surprise for you’. ‘What is it, Papa?’ I ask with my half opened eyes and my brain still sleeping.
