This book is SO funny! The Coyote loves playing tricks and wanted everyone to be amazed by him. So he made two moons! But the villagers didn’t panic at all, they were super smart. They played an even bigger trick and made THREE moons. I laughed so much. And the pictures are awesome.
My review:
I absolutely loved how this folktale uses humor to share such a beautiful message. Instead of getting angry or trying to “win”, the villagers responded with wit, teamwork, and playfulness. It naturally led to a lovely conversation about cleverness, kindness, and how we don’t always have to react to mischief with anger.
The storytelling flows beautifully, the illustrations are vibrant, and it’s one of those books that both children and adults genuinely enjoy.
Bonus: This is the first book in a three-part series by Katha, and we’re already excited to read the next two
If you’re looking for a book that will make your child laugh, think, and ask for “just one more story,” this one is a wonderful pick.
