A book about acceptance

In a world full of stereotyping, I am always on the look out for books that teach children acceptance. This book, ‘The Lion Who Wanted to Love’ by Giles Andreae does exactly that.

It’s about a lion cub who is not the usual lions who hunt. This lion wants to be friends with the other animals. It’s a book about how even his mother did not want him to be different. And how his ‘being different’ is eventually not only accepted but also applauded by all.

A wonderful book about acceptance and teaching children that it’s completely okay (rather brave) to be different from others.

This book is by the bestselling Author Giles Andreae whose Giraffes Can’t Dance (read review here) is a must have book. All the other books by this author too come highly recommended and can be explored here on Amazon.
