The pandemic has been hard on us all, but it has been the hardest on the
3-6 year old’s who would have just started going to playschool / formal school and the pandemic upset everything. The tantrums and the meltdowns were inevitable. Here are the books we read to deal with the big emotions, settle the meltdowns and get the etiquette in place.

A book named “The ABCs of Virtues”, would it be preachy? This was the thought that came to my mind before we read this book. I worried needlessly. Not only was the book not preachy at all, it is probably one of the most unique books I’ve ever come across. Not written in a story form, it introduces 26 key virtues every child (human) should know – one for each alphabet!
We had to skip our son’s nursery due to online schooling. I am listing here some of the activity and learning books which helped him learn the different concepts through homeschooling.
Books featuring moms are very common. But since we are an Equal Parenting community that believes Dads play an important role in the entire journey, not just reading journey and that they deserve to be celebrated (not just on Father’s Day) – we all curated this heartwarming list of Books on Dads!
When the lockdown was announced last year, our older one was supposed to start LKg. Being in a nuclear family, with both of us working and a toddler to look after, we could hardly attend his online classes. Also, our son did not show much interest in online classes. So we decided to cover the syllabus at home.
That was the first time in these 20 months that me and Aanya were all alone (or you can say our “me time” with No rulezzzzz)
