My 10 year son, Shlok reviewed this book:

Storyline

The monster returns, forcing Moin to manage both it and ridiculous piles of bananas. The story revolves around a mysterious “monster” that causes trouble both when it appears and strangely, even when it disappears. To quote something interesting from the book:

“The monster was a menace when it was around and a menace when it wasn’t.”

As the story unfolds, the sudden vanishing of the monster becomes the central puzzle. What really surprised me was how the monster disappeared without a trace. This is when Moin and his friends decide to uncover the mystery, and that’s where the story really picks up. What makes it especially interesting is how everyone has their own theory about what happened and where it might have gone.

Highlights in a glance

  • Intriguing Mystery: The idea of a monster that is a problem even in its absence is unique and keeps readers curious.
  • Multiple Theories: The different explanations offered by characters make the story engaging and interactive.
  • Fast-Paced Plot: Once the mystery begins, the story moves quickly and keeps you hooked.
  • Relatable Characters: Moin and his friends bring energy and curiosity that young readers can connect with.

What I liked most:

This book is a fun and engaging read that blends humour with mystery. It keeps readers guessing while maintaining a light and entertaining tone. The twists and turns throughout the story make it difficult to guess the end and that’s how the book keeps you hooked till the end. I enjoyed the book so much that I read it all in one sitting and I am sure so will you. We will be adding the other two to our collection soon.

All in all, a delightful mystery that keeps young readers hooked till the end. Perfect for kids who enjoy a mix of adventure, curiosity, and a little bit of the unexpected.

 ⭐ 9.5/10

This book has is the third one in the series – the first two being:
Moin and the Monster: Moin draws a monster into existence and learns to live with the hilarious, messy consequence.
Moin the Monster Songster: The monster tries to become a singer, leading to chaos involving a Bollywood music maestro.
