I am posting this on behalf of my 9 year old daughter.
Elise Et Lapinou – Le Voyage Commence (Elise And Lapinou – The Journey Begins) – I have opted for French as my optional language and was looking for a basic French learning book. That’s when we got this amazing book to review.
This bilingual book written by Isha Bhasin Ma’am. It has 5 different lovely stories. What makes this more interesting is you learn French in fun way. Very apt for beginners who want to learn French. Activities given after each story make the kids summarize their learnings. It will be injustice if I don’t mention about the beautiful illustrations. My little brother also started showing interest in learning French after I read this to him. It’s written in a simple and quite magnificent style.
This story is about Elise, a girl full of life, and how she gets a beautiful surprise (Lapinou, a bunny) from her Grandparents and her bond with Lapinou. I am so looking forward for the next book “Elise At The School!”.

As a child, when I started learning French in Paris, storybooks always fascinated me and encouraged me to read and learn more. I continue to believe in the same approach and hence have always encouraged my students to follow the READ, EXPLORE, LEARN and ENJOY methodology for learning this beautiful language.
