Reading a Ruskin Bond book to a 5 year old who does not sit in one place for more than 30 seconds?! I was pleasantly surprised that it was a picture book, and that too in rhyme!
Set in Hyderabad, the story revolves around the rivalry between two sweet shop owners, and the beautiful friendship that develops between the young children from the shops when they bond over panjiri, khubani ka meetha and swatting flies like ninjas
Advik has become a huge fan of Julia Donaldson and Eric Carle books. Though he has not moved to independent reading yet, he selected all the books for this book bingo and narrated the reviews.
Thanks to KBC we read a lot of books in the past few days and could ultimately make the final list for the thirty books.
This journey of 30 books was not only fun but extremely enriching for us. Most of these books can be enjoyed by 2 to 5 year olds.
