I’m sharing Divit’s review of this book!

I want to thank Asha Aunty for sending me this book. Somehow, she always knows what would interest me and magically they are related to a situation I am in. So we have been doing geometry in school and considering how I keep losing the protractor or rounder, my mom has always been keeping multiple back ups! When this book arrived, I was totally intrigued to know more.

The story is about Asha (what a coincidence!), Kartik and Aarav! They’re also known as the AKA Detectives and are a trio of brave, intelligent and resourceful young minds. They are always ready to solve any mystery, and are also extremely efficient at their job. When numerous geometry boxes go start to go missing around the school, the AKA Detectives are certain that it is the work of a vicious thief.

The young detectives notice that all the geometry boxes which were going missing were YUGA Brand, and were being stolen in school. This meant that the awful bandit was lurking around the corners of their very own school! They worked tirelessly day and night, interviewing children in their building, taking notes, and giving their all trying to solve the problem. But much to their annoyance, they were not close to finding the thief.

Things took a sudden turn when Aarav accidentally locked himself inside the school geometry shop and to his utter dismay, he found out that the shopkeeper’s son was playing a huge part in the scandal! There wasn’t enough evidence to point a finger at him, so they kept on working to find the real mastermind. Aarav, the superstar, had a brainwave and came up with the motive as well as the master plan. But it was someone nobody would have expected.

This masterpiece of a book is written by Vidya V. The language is so comical and it had me hooked. The illustrations are drawn quite well and the humour had me rolling on the floor laughing!
